Midland, TX - Joyce Lynn Hambleton, aged 79, of Midland, Texas, peacefully passed away on September 17, 2024, surrounded by family and her beloved dogs.

Born on May 3, 1945, in Sweetwater, Texas, Joyce was the loving daughter of R.L. and Maxine Brown. Growing up, she cherished memories with her grandparents, as her father's Air Force career led to frequent relocations. After graduating from business school, Joyce began her career at Texaco in Midland, where she met and married the love of her life, Thomas Hambleton. They enjoyed 35 years of marriage until his passing in 2003.

Family was at the center of Joyce's world. Alongside Tom, she raised three children, Merle, Regina, and Timothy, and valued family vacations, tennis, gardening, miniature golf, and card games. She found great joy in supporting her family's sports events and sharing their achievements. Joyce's love extended to animals, evident during her time on a farm in Pennsylvania and her dedication to driving school buses for 20 years, where she knew each child by name.

Survived by her children, stepson, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and sister, Joyce was cherished by those she loved. Preceded in death by her husband Tom, parents R.L. and Maxine Brown, and brother Larry Brown.

Visitation will be held at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will follow on Monday, September 23, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Ozona, Texas.

Arrangements are under the care of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland. Online condolences can be shared at www.npwelch.com.
