Jimmie D Redics, Stylish and Spirited Texan, Passes Away at 83
Midland, TX - Jimmie D Redics, age 83, of Midland, TX, passed away peacefully at home on June 24, 2024. Born in Mexia, TX, he was the son of Ethel and James Riddick.
Known for his sharp dress sense and free spirit, Jimmie enjoyed barbecue gatherings, sharing jokes with friends, savoring Old English Malt on the porch, fishing, playing dominoes, crafting, and tending to his yard. A dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan, Jimmie cherished moments with loved ones and in the outdoors.
Survived by his sons Brandon "Red" B. Brown of Fort Worth, TX, Michael Preston of Odessa, TX, daughters Pheneria Preston of Fort Worth, TX, Merry Preston of Abilene, TX, step-children, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Jimmie was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Enriquez and brothers J.L., Rufus, and Bob.
Cremation services have been arranged to honor Jimmie D Redics.
