Midland, Texas - Inez Chapa Castillo, 60, of Midland, Texas, departed this world on Saturday, July 13, 2024, to be with her angels. Born in Big Spring, Texas, Inez was known for her creativity in party planning, arts & crafts, and her passion for cooking, especially for her family.

Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, and one sister, Inez is survived by her husband Juan Mancias Gutierrez, eight children, Alexander Castillo, Beverly Torres, Vivian Martinez, Juan Carlos Mancias, Jason Gutierrez, Roman Gutierrez, Bobby Joe Gutierrez, and Juan Gutierrez. Also mourning her loss are her siblings Ramiro, Ramon, Avelardo, Helen, Juanita, Lupe, and Carmen, along with 25 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, godson Lucas, and goddaughter Erica.

Family and friends are welcome to pay their respects at Ellis Funeral Home on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 4-8 PM. The funeral service will be held at Ellis Funeral Home on Friday, July 19, 2024, at 10 AM, followed by interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.

In memory of Inez, the family has requested memorial donations to be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
