Midland, Texas - Nona Carrol Norris Slaughter, born on May 9, 1943, in San Angelo, TX, to George Jefferson Norris and Katherine Lillibell Ray, passed away on September 19, 2024, in Midland. Nona was known for her ability to turn any space into a warm and inviting home, where family gatherings around the dinner table were a cherished tradition.

Nona is survived by her son, three daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, and other loved ones. She will be remembered for her love of spending time with family, playing games, sewing, and enjoying a cup of coffee or sweet tea at the table.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview Cemetery in Midland, followed by a luncheon at First Baptist. Nona's memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched throughout her life.
