William Gates, known as Bill, passed away on September 22, 2024, in Midland, Texas, at the age of 62. Originally from New Orleans, Louisiana, Bill cherished spending time with his family, watching movies, and playing the guitar.

He met his beloved wife, Tonya, at Lowe’s Home Improvement in 1997, and they married on May 28, 1998. Bill was proud of his sons, Jonathan (John) and Joshua, and their accomplishments. In his free time, he enjoyed listening to Christian and rock music, especially Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Bill is survived by his wife, Tonya, and sons, Jonathan and Joshua. Memorial service details will be provided at a later time.

The family extends their gratitude to everyone who offered support, prayers, and assistance during this time. They appreciate the care provided by Midland Memorial Hospital, Focused Care at Hogan Park, Hospice of Midland, and others for their kindness.
