Midland, Texas - Martha Jo McNair, aged 94, passed away on September 11, 2024, joining her family in heaven. Born on January 26, 1930, in O'Donnell, Texas, to Walter Harrell and Edna Gertrude Guthrie, Martha lived a fulfilling life dedicated to her family, community, and faith.

Martha married Patrick Melton McNair in 1947, and together they built successful businesses in West Texas. Martha's involvement in church, music, scouting, and community organizations highlighted her commitment to serving others. She was known for her love of music as a church and Sunday school pianist, her involvement in various groups, such as the handbell choir at First United Methodist Church in Midland, and her leadership in scouting.

Following retirement, Martha and Pat shared a love for travel, exploring North America and Europe and creating cherished memories together. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Pat, and granddaughter, Mary Kelly McNair.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kelly and Molly McNair, daughter and son-in-law, Julia and Richard Chatwell, grandchildren Martin and Dawn McNair, Richard (Rocky) and Gerel Chatwell, Sarah and Garrett Root, and great-grandchildren Emma Claire Root, Ellie Mae Root, and Morgan Andrew McNair.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Midland, Sunny Glen Children's Home, or a charity of choice. Martha's love, compassion, and dedication to family and service will be remembered by all who knew her.
