On October 2, 2024, Melinda Lee Cooper-Day, aged 66, born on May 19, 1958, in Midland, TX, to Nelda and John Cooper, peacefully departed. She shared 44 years of marriage with her one true love, Greg Day, residing in various states and cherishing their sons and grandsons.

Known for her fiery spirit and unwavering love, Melinda will be remembered for her honesty, loyalty, and infectious laughter that warmed hearts. Her roles in life as a wife, mother, Gammie, and friend were her most cherished. Melinda's kindness, humor, and genuine love left a lasting mark on all who knew her.

Predeceased by her parents and son John Cooper Day, Melinda is survived by her husband Greg, sons Phil and Geoff Day, daughter-in-law Chanel, grandsons Graydon and Gavin Day, sister Cindy King, and her faithful companion Bella.

The family will welcome friends for visitation on Friday, October 11, 2024, from 4:00-8:00 PM at Ellis Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Ellis Funeral Home, concluding with a graveside committal at Resthaven Memorial Park. Melinda will be dearly missed but forever cherished.
