Estes Park - Michael Sean Francis, a renowned executive chef and music enthusiast, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 27th, 2024. He was born in Greely, CO on March 31, 1964, and grew up in Chico, CA. Michael graduated from Chico Senior High School in 1982 and later pursued his passion for cooking at the California Culinary Institute in San Francisco, where he graduated in 1989.

Aside from his successful culinary career, Michael had a deep love for music, particularly rock and roll. He played the drums from a young age and carried on this passion throughout his life. Additionally, he was a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos, instilling his passion for football in the hearts of his children and grandchildren.

Michael is survived by his children Tiffani, Jacob, and Justin, his grandchildren Kallin and Carson, his parents LaLonnie and Gary, his sisters Michelle, Heidi, and Sara, and his soul partner Elsa. He will be remembered for his sense of humor and playful nature, always brightening any room he entered.

A celebration of Michael's life will take place in Estes Park, a place he held dear to his heart. Family and friends will gather to honor his memory, sharing stories and laughter in remembrance of the joy he brought to their lives.
