Midland – Thomas Guffey Midkiff, 81, passed away peacefully in his home in Midland on Wednesday August 8, 2024. Born December 14, 1942, in Midland to Lige Irwin Midkiff and Lolita Lucille Guffey Midkiff, he graduated from high school in Midland in 1962 and joined the Navy. He met and married Joan Dove in 1966, and they would have celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary this year.

Thomas is survived by his loving wife, Joan Dove Midkiff. He will be honored with a rosary on Sunday, August 11th at 8 pm and a memorial Mass on Tuesday, August 13th at 2 pm at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, 4601 Neely Avenue in Midland. A private burial will take place in Serenity Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen’s Catholic Church or Helping Hands of Midland.
