Midland, Texas - Maria Magdalena Sanchez de Contreras, aged 57, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 24, 2024. Born in Jalisco, Mexico, Maria was known for her dedication to her family, community, and faith.

Maria is survived by her husband Guillermo Contreras, children Guillermo Contreras, Hosanna Contreras, and Alexandra Contreras, her parents Eliazar and Gloria Sanchez, and siblings Javier, John, Eliazar Jr., Jose, Armando, Sonia, Gloria, Laura, and Stefanie Sanchez, all of Bakersfield, California. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Gabriella, Adriana, Myla, and Ezekiel Salazar.

Visitation will be at Ellis Funeral Home on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a funeral service on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park. Pallbearers will include family members and loved ones. Maria is preceded in death by her beloved grandmother Bernadina Hernandez.
