Midland, Texas - Ella Bell Heath's extraordinary journey, which began on January 17, 1923, in Swisher County, Texas, concluded on August 28, 2024. Ella, a daughter of Fred and Bertha Spann, was marked by resilience, adventure, and a zest for life that she maintained until her passing at the age of 101. She was a pioneer in her community, excelling in numerous pursuits ranging from golf and ballroom dancing to painting and jewelry making. Ella was a beloved figure at Crestview Baptist Church, a beacon of faith and strength in her family, and an avid proponent of living life to the fullest.

Born in an era when rural life in North Texas posed numerous challenges, Ella's upbringing on a farm instilled in her a strong work ethic and sense of responsibility. Her fortitude and determination were evident from her early days of balancing farm chores and schoolwork to embarking on adventurous pursuits like modeling in Los Angeles. Ella's life was a tapestry of experiences, from her time as a golfer, bowler, and artist to her dedication to her faith, community, and family. She was a trailblazer, setting new paths through her various accomplishments.

Ella's marriage to Cullen C. Heath marked the beginning of a life filled with travels, moves, and shared experiences. Together, they navigated the challenges of Cap's job as a "doodlebugger," creating enduring friendships and cherished memories along the way. They raised two daughters, Beverly and Brenda, each a testament to Ella's love, care, and unwavering support.

Her legacy lives on through her daughter Brenda Bromley and husband Kyle, sisters, grandchildren, great-granddaughters, and extended family. Ella's impact on her community and the lives she touched reverberates through time, reminding all to embrace each day with gratitude and a love for life.

A visitation to celebrate Ella's life will take place at Ellis Funeral Home on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 4-7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Crestview Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at 11 a.m., followed by a graveside service at Resthaven Memorial Park at 3 p.m. Her incredible journey and spirit of resilience will forever be cherished by those who were fortunate enough to know her.
