Lawrence Dean "Shorty" Osborn, who was born in Sawyer, Kansas, passed away on July 3, 2024, in Midland, Texas at the age of 83. Osborn served in the United States Marine Corps and later pursued a career in geophysics. He married Judith Ann Aab in 1975 and shared 48 years of marriage with her. They enjoyed camping, rockhounding, and living the RV life during retirement. A graveside service with Military Honors will be held on July 9, 2024, at Fairview Cemetery in Midland. Donations in Osborn's memory can be made to Hospice of Midland. Osborn's care was provided by Ericka Ortega with Hospice of Midland. Services are entrusted to Willowbrook Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
