Midland, TX - Frank Gomez Ortega, a man known for his larger-than-life personality and unwavering love for his Dallas Cowboys, passed away on November 14, 2024, at the age of 61. A longtime resident of Marathon, Texas, Frank was cherished by many for his unique character and sense of humor.

Frank was a proud father, grandfather, husband, and friend. He lived life to the fullest, enjoying hunting, Wild Turkey Whiskey, and spending time with his children and grandchildren. An accomplished field dresser and a skilled marksman, Frank's talents were as diverse as his interests. He made a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

A funeral service to honor Frank will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, November 22, 2024, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Midland, TX, with a reception to follow. A viewing will take place at 12 p.m., and a Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. the day prior at Lewallen-Garcia-Pipkin Funeral Home & Chapel.

Frank is survived by his wife, children, grandchildren, parents, siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will deeply miss his presence. He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the memorial service or to plant trees in Frank's memory. His family encourages attendees to share their cherished stories of Frank, the man who left an unforgettable mark on those he encountered.
