Mrs. Kay was a beloved sister to Dennis L. Boatwright, Olan Robert Boatwright, Olan Floyd Boatwright, and Mamie Jean Tomes. She was a devoted mother to her children, Tennie, James, and William, and a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren and a great-granddaughter.
Throughout her life, Mrs. Kay embodied kindness, generosity, and a caring spirit. She worked diligently at Whataburger, Rockwood Manor, and Focus Care, forming meaningful connections with coworkers and those under her care. Mrs. Kay had a passion for helping others and shone as a beacon of light to all who crossed her path.
Christmas, Mrs. Kay's favorite holiday, reflected her love of family, joy, and celebration. She cherished shopping excursions, the color purple, and spending time with her beloved dog, Snowball. Renowned for her culinary skills, she took pleasure in cooking and sharing meals with loved ones.
Mrs. Kay's warmth and compassion positively impacted numerous lives, and she will be fondly remembered for the love and light she brought into the world.
A funeral service honoring Mrs. Kay's life will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 2:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, with a viewing an hour before the service. While deeply missed, her legacy of love and kindness will endure in the hearts of her family and all those privileged to have known her.
