Midland, TX - Augustin Peña Baeza, Jr., aged 76, passed away on December 13, 2024, in Midland. Born on July 23, 1948, in Marathon, TX, to Augustin Garcia Baeza and Feliciana Peña, he proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. Augustin worked in the oilfields of West Texas before retirement, and was known for his leadership in bible study groups.

Survived by his wife, Paula Flores Baeza, and children Ruben Flores Frausto, Valentin Baeza, Augustin Baeza III, and Priscilla Bernal, along with brother Leandro Baeza, sisters Margie, Yolanda, Janie, and Reina Baeza, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Augustin's devout faith and military service left a lasting impact.

Preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Carlos Baeza, Sr., Augustin will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation will be at Midland First Assembly of God Church on December 16 and 17, with funeral services on December 18, 2024, at 1:00pm at the same location.
