Sylvia Paredes, of Midland, Texas, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas. Born on April 6, 1960, in Pecos, Texas, Sylvia was known for her loving and trusting nature. She was active in the Special Olympics in her youth and had a special love for babies.

Predeceased by her parents, Margarito and Cruz Paredes, as well as her brother Frank and sister Eva, Sylvia is survived by her siblings: Leticia Almanza, Judy Schmidt, Mary Munoz, Margie Galvan, Joe Salas, and Jaime Paredes.

A Rosary and visitation for Sylvia Paredes will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025, at Willowbrook Funeral Home in Midland, Texas. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Saint Ann’s Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
