Bettie Jean Robinson | Ellis Resthaven Funeral Home and Memorial Park

Midland - Bettie Jean Robinson, a devoted housewife known for her selfless nature and love for family, passed away on January 4, 2025.

Born on September 7, 1944, in Artesia, New Mexico, to James Arthur and Annie Lucy Richardson Pool, she is survived by her three sons Leslie Taylor, James Taylor, Alan Taylor, two daughters Laura Wright (Frank) and Stacy Barker (Charles), brothers Larry Pool, Bobby Pool, Rodney Pool, sisters Shirley Ross, Martha Yarbrough (Terry), Glenda Ujhely, Judy Grissom, Bonnie Browing (Mark), along with seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Married to Roger Robinson on April 17, 1981, Bettie Jean adored family vacations, playing bingo, and slots. A devout Christian, she frequented Crestview Baptist and Sheppard's Chapel.

Preceded in death by Roger Robinson, parents James and Annie Lucy Pool, brothers Lewis, Jerry, Jimmy Pool, Billy Rogers, Peggy Pool, Janet Mitchel; visitation at Ellis Funeral Home on January 12, 2025, 3-6 p.m.; chapel service on January 13, 2025, 2:00 p.m., followed by a graveside committal at Resthaven Memorial Park. Wyatt Barker, Leslie Taylor, Jeremiah Grissom as honorary pallbearers; Frank Wright, Charlie Barker, Justin, Ryu, Josh, JT Glenn as pallbearers.
