James Hicks | Willowbrook Funeral Home
James was born on October 20, 1939, in Laurel, Mississippi, to Berth Pauline Hall. He received his education in Laurel. On September 18, 2005, he married his beloved, Nancy Jane Fowler. James worked as a dedicated truck driver for 47 years, providing for his family. He also proudly served in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion.
James is survived by his wife, Nancy, son Aaron, grandchildren Madison Fowler, Chris Fowler, Erik Fowler, and Kelly Raschke, as well as great-grandchildren Oliver James Fowler and McKenzie Ellen Matthews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother David Hicks, and sister Pat Hicks.
A private family gathering will be scheduled for a later date. The family extends their gratitude to the VA for their exceptional care and also appreciates the support from Jeppie Wilson and the members of Shiloh Baptist Church in Monahans.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shiloh Baptist Church of Monahans in memory of James. Rest in peace, James, as you join the Lord in heaven, and your memory will be cherished by all who knew you.
