Midland - Rex Lee Holland, 95, passed away on January 11, 2025, in Midland surrounded by his family. Born on December 12, 1929, in rural Coleman County, Texas, Rex led a rich life filled with love, laughter, and adventures. A celebration of his life will be held on January 25, 2025 at Wilshire Park Baptist Church, followed by graveside services at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Rex cherished his family and loved being a grandfather. His journey included service in the United States Navy during the Korean War, where he displayed courage and honor. His dedication to his family, faith in Christ, and selfless nature were encompassed in his various roles as a bookkeeper, school bus driver, and pet sitter, among others. Known for his passion for basketball, golf, Dallas Cowboys games, and Bluegrass Gospel music, Rex's mechanical curiosity led him to refurbish various items as hobbies.

Survived by his children, grandchildren, and siblings, Rex was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and numerous siblings. The family expresses gratitude to Hospice of Midland and Midland Memorial Hospital for their care.

Pallbearers for the service will include family members and loved ones. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wilshire Park Baptist Church.
