Midland - Lucy Ann Walker Stagg, 87, of Midland, Texas, passed away on January 14, 2025. Born on June 9, 1937, in Covington County, Mississippi, Lucy was a loving wife, devoted mother, and nurturing grandmother known for her Southern grace, love for family, and passion for life. Her Celebration of Life service will be held on January 25, 2025, at Crestview Baptist Church of Midland.

Growing up in Mississippi, Lucy was a source of joy and laughter, known for her fondness for dancing and her commitment to reflecting Jesus' love and mercy. Her career in nursing and her talent for sewing reflected her patience, compassion, and attention to detail. Lucy's life was marked by lovingly nurturing her family, cherishing Sunday dinners, gardening, crafting, and hosting gatherings filled with love and laughter.

Lucy leaves behind her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, and a legacy of warmth and hospitality. She touched the lives of many, becoming a maternal figure to friends and family alike. Her memory will be treasured by all who knew her, and the impact of her love and kindness will continue to resonate.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending memorials to Hospice of Midland in memory of Lucy. The arrangements are cared for by Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. To honor Lucy Ann Stagg, visit the Tribute Store to place a tree or send flowers.
