Andrew Grier Brunson | Nalley-Pickle & welch Funeral Home & Crematory
Grier, as he was fondly known, overcame early challenges and was adopted by Glenn Samuel Brunson Jr. and Lily Davis Brunson, growing up alongside five siblings. After pursuing his education, graduating from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science, Grier's career journey led him into the fields of journalism, entrepreneurship, and ranch management.
His impactful career spanned numerous accomplishments, including serving on the Interstate Oil Compact Commission and as chairman of the National Association of Royalty Owners (NARO). Grier's contributions to the oil industry and royalty owners across the nation were substantial, shaping policies and advocating for their interests.
Grier's passion for the outdoors extended to hunting in Africa, horse racing, and managing the Brunson Ranches with his son Evan. A dedicated family man, his proudest moments revolved around the birth of Evan and the joys of grandfatherhood, cherishing every moment with his grandson Bowen.
He is survived by his son Evan, daughter-in-law Taylor, grandson Bowen, brothers Sam and Tim, sisters Ellen, Christie, and Candace, as well as nieces and nephews who will greatly miss him.
Grier's life will be celebrated at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home, with visitation on January 29, 2025, and a funeral service on January 30, 2025, at First Presbyterian Church of Midland, followed by burial at Fairview Cemetery.
