Charles “Charlie” Edward Elliott | Nalley-Pickle & welch Funeral Home & Crematory

Midland - Charles “Charlie” Edward Elliott passed away on January 26, 2025, to join the Lord. Charles was preceded in death by his parents Buster and Annie Elliott, as well as his three brothers Larry Gene Elliott, Bobby Wayne Elliott, and James “Louis” Elliott, and his grandson Tyler David Elliott.

He is survived by his sister Laverne Ruthie Barker of San Angelo, daughter Stephanie Bratcher and husband Scott of Del Rio, son James Elliott and wife Jamie of Midland, 7 grandchildren, Jessica Bratcher, Jayden Bratcher, Shianne Elliott, Michael Elliott, Christian Hancock, Bryan Butler, and Sierra Butler, along with numerous great-grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Born on October 26, 1947, in Santa Anna, Texas, Charles spent much of his life in the Sheffield-Iraan area, graduating from Iraan High School in 1966. Following high school, he settled in Midland, Texas, where he resided until his passing.

Charles proudly served in the United States Army as a draftee during the Vietnam War, dedicating approximately 3 years of his life in service. Following his military tenure, he worked for various telephone companies as an installer, specifically installing telephone backup batteries, until his retirement in 2013. His favorite pastimes included watching football, little league baseball, and reading books by Louis L’Amour.

A memorial service to honor Charles will be held at Restland Cemetery in Iraan, Texas, at a later date.
