April Kay Huertas, 36, passed away on January 31, 2025, in Midland. Born on November 2, 1988, in Odessa, Texas, to Manuel Huertas Jr and Jenny Kay Weber-Huertas, April pursued her education in Monahans before attending Odessa College. She held clerical roles in the petroleum industry and retail, and more recently served as a caregiver for her father while working in marketing, a role she shared with him.

April found solace in her leisure pursuits of art, jewelry making, and craft painting. She was preceded in death by her son Brent, her mother Jenny Huertas, sister Kristie Marie Weber, and other beloved family members.

She is survived by her son Blake Manuel Dodson, twin sister Tassiy Kay Rose, sister Santina Loya, brother Joshua Weber, father Manuel Huertas Jr, nieces, nephews, and step-nephew. Pallbearers will include family members and loved ones.

Visitation will take place at Willowbrook Funeral Home in Midland on Friday, February 7, 2025. A funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Elevate Church in Midland, with Pastor Jordan Riley officiating. The family requests donations for her son Blake Dodson and extends gratitude to Elevate Church, Pastor Jordan Riley, and those who supported them during this time.
