Midland, Texas - Ronnie Harter, a cherished member of the Midland community and a graduate of Abilene High School and McMurry University, passed away on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Known for his zeal and dedication, Ron made significant contributions to the energy sector over the years, showcasing true passion and drive in his work.

With a diverse set of interests, Ron excelled in numerous sports and activities, standing out as an exceptional athlete in performance skating and roller hockey. His love for life was evident in the countless memories he shared with friends and family, creating a bond that was cherished by all who knew him.

A muscle car enthusiast, particularly fond of Corvettes, Ron was an award-winning BBQ and chili cookoff champion, proudly showcasing his culinary prowess. His infectious laughter, warm demeanor, and active involvement with the Jaycee's chapters in various cities exemplified his vibrant spirit and passion for community engagement.

Remembered for his humor, kindness, and ability to make others feel special, Ron's unwavering love for his family was evident in all aspects of his life. Survived by his children Kendall and Alyshia, his son-in-law and daughter-in-law, and grandchildren who brought him immense joy, Ron's memory will endure in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.

Preceded in death by his parents W.R. and Madeline Harter, as well as his wife Vicky Harter, Ron's legacy of warmth and community will live on in the hearts of all who shared in his life.

A memorial service is scheduled for Monday, February 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Ellis Funeral Home in Midland, Texas, offering an opportunity to honor and remember the life of Ronnie Harter.
