Midland, Feb. 4, 2025 - Walter Robert Bryan, lovingly known as "Smiley," departed on February 4, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on March 8, 1950, in Midland, Texas, Bryan was cherished by his family and friends as a talented carpenter, a versatile individual, and a devoted fan of country music and the Dallas Cowboys.

He is survived by his daughter, Paula (Pauline) Kay Stiles, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Bryan's warm personality and steadfast friendship endeared him to all who crossed his path, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.

A memorial service to honor Walter Robert Bryan's life will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home on 3800 N Big Spring Street in Midland, Texas. The service will be followed by a dinner at Tall City VFW Post 7208 on 1306 E Taylor Avenue, hosted by Robert and Connie Thames.

Expressions of gratitude are extended to the Midland Memorial staff, Hospice caregivers, and countless others who provided care and support. Special appreciation goes to his granddaughter, Kylah Bradley, and son-in-law, Jeffrey Stiles, for their unwavering dedication to Bryan.
