Elvira Valenzuela Salgado, 100, Remembered for Love and Devotion

Midland—Elvira Salgado Valenzuela, who led a remarkable life spanning a century, passed away on February 8, 2025. Born on January 13, 1925, in Rancho De En Medio, Municipio Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, Elvira exuded love, kindness, and unwavering devotion to her family and community.

In 1948, she married Francisco “Panchelo” Valenzuela Villa, with whom she shared six children and created a home filled with warmth, love, and the aroma of her beloved baked goods. Elvira's talents as a skilled seamstress not only clothed but also cared for the residents of La Mula, where she dedicated herself as a homemaker.

Elvira's memory is honored by her children: Virginia (Francisco Baeza), Maria Cruz (Isidro Modesto), Carlos, Humberto, Angelina (Ismael Valenzuela), daughter-in-law Luz Elena, along with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Her sister, Maria Del Socorro Armendariz, also survives her.

She is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved husband, Francisco “Panchelo” Valenzuela Villa, son Francisco Javier “Pancho” Valenzuela, daughter-in-law Gloria Arroyo, and dear siblings Aurora, Ana, Cristina, Tomás, Salvador, and Armando.

Elvira's legacy of love and devotion will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her, serving as a beacon of light and warmth. Her memory will remain eternally in the hearts of those she touched.
