Ronald Douglas Baxter, 76, of Midland, passed away on Thursday, March 6, 2025. He was born on March 4, 1949, in Lubbock, Texas, to Willis Wilborne Jr. and Nina Louise Baxter. Ron was a hardworking individual who spent nearly 40 years in the oil fields as a Pumper and Foreman before retiring in 2018. He enjoyed various hobbies such as fishing, bowling, and reading. Ron had a passion for history and sports, particularly westerns, NASCAR, and rooting for the Dallas Cowboys.

A small service in Ron's memory will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. He is survived by his wife Celina, children Leticia and Cesar, sister Gail, nephews Chris and Brent Elliot, and beloved grandchildren.
