Janet Lee Harris, aged 70, of Midland, departed on Thursday, March 6, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. A service in her honor will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at 2:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Midland, followed by a private family interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Born on October 3, 1954, in Houston and adopted by Dana Lee and James Barron Davis, Janet's childhood saw her move around before settling in Midland with her family. Over the years, she ventured into the oil industry in both Midland and Denver, also engaging in the automobile lobbying sector during her time in Denver. A devoted wife and mother, she returned to Midland, nurturing her family and even delving into animal welfare, local politics, and managing her family's oil and gas business. Known for her intelligence, assertiveness, and compassion, she was deeply committed to her three sons and cherished her eight grandchildren.

Janet is survived by her sons Keith Russell House, Quillan Grant Harris, and Drew Prescott Harris, along with her brother Kirby Davis and niece Amanda Henderson. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Dana Lee and James Barron Davis.

The family expresses gratitude to the Medical Center Hospital staff for their care.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Gladney Center for Adoption.
