The Ector County ISD Board of Trustees voted 6-0 to approve extra time off for instructors and campus staff.
This time is to be used to prepare and plan for data-driven instructional plans. This time will come in the form of two early release days – Feb. 2 and March 2.
In addition to the approval of the two early release days, the Board discussed the budget for the upcoming years. It is expecting funding to fall next year due to various challenges that the district will be facing.
The Trustees discussed making employee compensation a priority but did not vote on anything during the meeting that was definitive.
