There were 1,371 students enrolled in ComPASS Academy Charter School in the 2021-22 school year, 3.7% more than the previous year, according to the Texas Education Agency.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2021-22 school year, 50.1% of them were boys, and 49.9% were girls.

Data also shows that the majority of students were white, representing 61.1% of the ComPASS Academy Charter School total enrollment.

ComPASS Academy Charter School roughly covers schools within Ector County with its main office in Odessa.

The Texas education system is currently torn between public schools and taxpayer-funded private schools.

Critics argue that private schools use funds that should go to the public school system, while private school advocates claim they’re offering better education for more Texas students.
