Nicki dedicated over three decades to the Ector County Youth Center, leaving a lasting legacy as chief deputy assistant to the director of the juvenile probation office. Her commitment to law enforcement continued as she joined the Texas State Department of Probation and Parole until her retirement in 2012.
Nicki's adventurous spirit led her to enjoy various hobbies, from playing softball to fishing and camping. She cherished time spent in her beautiful yard hosting family gatherings. Nicki's loyalty and caring nature touched the lives of many, surpassing friendships with colleagues to include close-knit relationships with family and friends.
She was a proud grandmother to Justice, Paige, Kinsley, Grayson, Jaxon, Zackery, Zayne, Orren, and Danielle. Nicki's significant impact in caring for both her parents and family members exemplified her unwavering dedication and love.
Nicki's passing was preceded by her sister Trisha Thompson, niece Lana Wheeler, brother Steve Stone, parents Christine and B.C. Stone, and ex-husband Paul Brumley. She is survived by her son Gary Brumley, grandson Justice Brumley, granddaughter Paige Johnson, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends who will continue to carry her memory forward.
Recognized for her unforgettable cat eyes, sharp wit, and fondness for Coca-Cola, Nicki's presence will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Her legacy as a caring and devoted individual will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those she touched.
