Congressman August Pfluger of Texas has expressed his approval following the passage of the Full-Year Continuing Appropriations and Extensions Act of 2025. After casting his vote in favor, Rep. Pfluger issued a statement highlighting the importance of maintaining government operations.
"I voted to fund the government today because it was the responsible thing to do to keep the government open and working for the American people," stated Congressman Pfluger. He emphasized that he had advocated for this action weeks prior as a means to sustain "the momentum of President Trump’s America First agenda."
Pfluger criticized Democrats, accusing them of attempting to shut down the government, an act he described as contrary to their long-standing claims against irresponsible governance. "Democrats wanted to shut down the government – the very thing they have said for years is irresponsible governing – simply because they wanted to stop President Trump. They did not succeed," he added.
The continuing resolution ensures that federal agencies remain funded and operational, avoiding a potential shutdown scenario.
