A lifelong learner, Cindy's curiosity and passion for education shone through. Her love for English and Theatre led her to a diverse range of careers, including massage therapy and teaching. Cindy shared her wisdom with generations of students across West Texas, leaving a lasting impact.
In 1985, Cindy welcomed her son, James Ryan Gonzalez, who brought immeasurable joy into her life. Their bond was a testament to unconditional love, with James being the center of her world. Cindy cherished spending time with James, sharing Sundays watching the Cowboys, enjoying his grilling, and the simple joy of companionship.
Animals held a special place in Cindy's heart. She devoted herself to rescuing and caring for numerous dogs and cats. Cindy found solace in the company of these animals, sharing her love for dog-sitting and visits to the dog park with her furry companions.
Her beloved grandchildren, Nevaeh, Jayden, and Abigail, brought incomparable joy to her life. Known as Nana, Cindy treasured every moment spent with them, attending each celebration and cherishing every family gathering.
Cindy's health declined in recent times, leading her to wish for one last visit with her grandchildren. Nevaeh, Jayden, and Abigail brought warmth to her heart during their last lunch together on March 17 before Cindy peacefully passed away in the early hours of March 18, 2025.
In her passing, Cindy is reunited with her son, James Gonzalez, his fiancée, Kelly Brooks, and her loved ones. She leaves behind a legacy of love, compassion, and unwavering dedication to family.
Cindy's memorial service will be held at Wilshire Park Baptist Church on Friday, March 21, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
