Jayson Truitt Edward Nix was born on August 26, 1982. He grew up in Dallas, Texas, and attended Midland High School in Midland, Texas. Nix later pursued a professional baseball career, playing for several MLB teams such as the Colorado Rockies, Chicago White Sox, and New York Yankees. After his playing career, he transitioned into coaching and is currently an assistant coach for the Los Angeles Angels.
