Cedric Myron Benson, born December 28, 1982, died on August 17, 2019, in Austin, Texas, in a motorcycle crash. Benson, an NFL running back, emerged in Midland, Texas, at Abell Junior High School under Coach Chris McKinney. At Robert E. Lee High School, he set records, leading his team to three State Championships. Benson's college years at the University of Texas showcased his talent, earning him awards and recognition.
