Merrilyn Anne Mack, a beloved member of the Midland community, passed away on November 4, 2024. She was 69 years old.

Merrilyn was born on July 27, 1955, in Emporia, Kansas, to Beulah Merrilyn Walters and Arnold Martin Walters. She had a rich educational background, having attended schools in both Kansas and New Mexico before obtaining a GED. Merrilyn furthered her education at Midland College, earning an Associate of Applied Science degree and pursuing a career as a paralegal.

Throughout her life, Merrilyn was devoted to her family. She was married to Ron Killough and later to Robert Mack, with whom she had children Christopher Killough, John Mack, Michael Mack, and Michelle Mack. Merrilyn was an active member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, where she volunteered for various church activities and displayed a selfless nature.

Merrilyn is survived by her children, Christopher, John, and Michelle, as well as her sisters Kathy Singer and Brenda White. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Mack, son Michael Mack, mother Beulah Peterson, father Arnold Walters, and sister Tracy Marin.

A memorial service for Merrilyn will take place on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Midland, Texas, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a reception. The family requests that donations be made to St. Luke’s United Methodist Church, Senior Life Midland, or AMOS of Midland in lieu of flowers.
