Michael Robert Newsom, 66, of Midland, passed away unexpectedly on Nov 11, 2024. A service to remember his life will be held at Fellowship Community Church in Midland on Friday, November 22, at 2 p.m., officiated by Rev. Wade Cobb.

Mike was born on October 27, 1958 in Big Spring, Texas to Bobby Ray and Donna Newsom. He graduated from Big Spring High School in 1977 and enjoyed softball, fishing, and golf. Mike worked in various roles within the Oil and Gas industry and as a home inspector.

He is survived by his son, Dustin Scott of Andrews Texas, his mother, Donna Newsom, a sister, Robin Wilson (Tom), and a brother, David Newsom. Mike is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Ray Newsom, maternal grandparents, Foster and Frances Shirley, and paternal grandparents, Robert and Evelyn Newsom, all of Big Spring.
