Eusebio "Pancho" Chavez, Fondly Remembered for Generosity and Strong Work Ethic | Nalley-Pickle & welch Funeral Home & Crematory

Midland, TX - Eusebio "Pancho" Chavez, known for his loving nature and strong work ethic, peacefully passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024, surrounded by his family. Born on February 20, 1933, in Mexico to Jose Chavez and Guadalupe Garcia, Pancho was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his daughter Socorro, son Saul, two sisters, one brother, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Pancho married his beloved wife, Pilar Nava, in 1955, and together they immigrated to the United States, settling in Midland, Texas, to provide a better life for their family. He worked on the Number 9 Ranch for John Casselman, embodying the true spirit of a cowboy through his ranching skills, strength, and self-reliance. Pancho's generosity, warm heart, and unwavering work ethic left a lasting impact on all who knew him.

Preceded in death by his wife Pilar, son Sammy, parents, siblings, Pancho's selfless nature and dedication to family will be cherished forever. His love for family, faith, and zest for life have created an enduring legacy that will be fondly remembered by all.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home in Midland, Texas, with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 2, 2024, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by interment at Serenity Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will carry Pancho to his final resting place.

The family extends their gratitude to all who cared for Pancho throughout the years. Arrangements are under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory of Midland.
