Gloria Abella | Nalley-Pickle & welch Funeral Home & Crematory

Gloria Abella, 64, of Midland, Texas, passed away on Sunday, January 5, 2025. Born on August 11, 1960, in Pecos, Texas, Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, and member of the community known for her joyfulness, faith, and caring nature.

Gloria graduated from Midland High School and Midland College, where she met her husband, Mark. She was a dedicated member of St. Stephen's Catholic Church and San Miguel Catholic Church. Gloria's role as a stay-at-home mom extended beyond her children, as she also provided care and guidance to her extended family, including nephews, nieces, and grandchildren.

Throughout her 9 and a half years of battling cancer, Gloria displayed great perseverance, strength, and unwavering faith. She was remembered for her radiant smile, forgiving spirit, and her willingness to always lend a helping hand to those in need.

Gloria Abella is survived by her husband, Mark Abella, children Martha Banda and Luke Abella, grandchildren Anaiah Banda and Nataliah Banda, twin sister Sylvia Martinez, siblings, nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, niece, and godmother.

The family expressed their gratitude to all relatives who provided care for Gloria during her illness, as well as Dr. Chae, her oncologist. Arrangements are under the care of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory in Midland. Online condolences can be shared at www.npwelch.com.
