After earning a degree in Horticulture from Texas Tech University, Fore embarked on his career in golf course supervision. He held the position of Certified Golf Course Superintendent at Midland Country Club from 2001 until his passing, overseeing a complete rebuilding of the course and irrigation systems. His professionalism and dedication to the profession earned him many accolades, and he was highly regarded by his colleagues and members at MCC.
Fore was a devoted family man, husband to Crystal Borland, and a father to three children, Theron, Aiden, and Savannah. He excelled in mentoring his children in athletic pursuits, scouting, and family activities, showing immense love and warmth to all. An avid hunter, fisherman, and collector of Indian artifacts, Fore was known for his jovial spirit and kind-hearted nature.
A man of deep faith, Fore's dedication to his values was evident in his daily life and interactions. He was loved and respected by all who knew him for his integrity and genuine compassion.
Fore was preceded in death by his son Theron, brother Brandon, and sister Lindsay Elisa. He is survived by his loving wife Crystal, children Aiden and Savannah, parents Elisa Ikard and Thomas V. Brown, III, sister Katherine Brown-Ikard, Crystal's parents, numerous family members, and a host of friends.
Visitation for Thomas "Fore" Vernon Brown IV will be held on Thursday, January 9, 2025, at The Branch at Nalley Pickle and Welch. Services are scheduled for Friday, January 10, 2025, at Stonegate Fellowship, followed by graveside services at Pyron Cemetery. The pallbearers will include close friends and colleagues.
