Billy Earl Wells | Nalley-Pickle & welch Funeral Home & Crematory
A dedicated Christian, Bill was a pillar of strength and support for his church community, embodying kindness, boundless love, and selflessness. His children and grandchildren cherished his giving heart and basked in the warmth of his love and his welcoming nature, never wavering in his care and devotion.
After graduating from high school in San Angelo, Bill worked as a roustabout before transitioning to the role of supply store manager at Don-Nan Pump and Supply, a position he held until his retirement at the age of 72. Beyond his professional life, Bill found joy in the simple pleasures of tending to his garden, perfecting his smoking prowess on his smoke pit, and enjoying quality time with his family through shared hobbies like fishing, watching sports, and friendly poker games.
In 2016, Bill received a prostate cancer diagnosis, leading to several years of treatments at MD Anderson in Houston. The long drives to and from the medical center became cherished bonding moments for him and his daughters, filled with shared stories, culinary adventures, and fishing excursions that created treasured memories.
Bill is survived by his wife, Katheryn Ann Wells, his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and siblings, who will forever hold his memory dear. Welcomed into heaven by his parents, brothers, and other loved ones, Bill leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and togetherness.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered love, support, prayers, and kindness during this difficult time, with a special thank you to Bill's niece Jasye Barrett and the dedicated Hospice nurses and caregivers for their exceptional care and compassion.
