Raymond C. Nevares Jr., aged 75, peacefully passed away on March 8, 2025, in Midland, Texas. Born on January 12, 1950, in Midland, Texas, to the late Martina Chavez and Raymond Mendoza Nevares, Ray was known for his calm demeanor and hard-working nature. He was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan.

Ray is survived by his wife Elfida Nevares, children Raymond Nevares III, Macario Nevares, Elsie Hernandez, Valerie Nevares, Alexis “Lexy” Hernandez, grandchildren, and extended family. Visitation will be on Sunday, March 16, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Avalos-Sanchez and Thomas Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Monday, March 17, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, followed by interment at Serenity Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
